No Better Time...

"No Better Time Than Now."

Some people are procrastinators when it comes to prayer. They pray when seemingly forced to pray by a circumstance or situation. Of course, that is not how it should be. There should be an ongoing, consistent prayer.

Daniel is a good example of the right attitude toward prayer. From the time he was taken into captivity he prayed every day. There is no doubt in my mind it was from his parents praying in the home and teaching him by example. Daniel prayed three times a day; morning, noon and night (Daniel 6:10). He was known for his prayer. It was his testimony. When he faced the difficult situation of being thrown into the lion's den he had probably prayed close to 73,365 prayers; maybe more. (He was taken into captivity around 605 BC to the lion's den experience in 538 BC which comes to a total of 67 years. 67 years times 365 days [our calendar year not Jewish] total 24,455 days times 3 prayers per day equals 73,365 prayers prayed. Probably more). He didn't wait until his situation came up. He prayed faithfully every day.

Consistency in prayer is critical. When times are good, PRAY. When you feel blessed, PRAY. For every mountain there is a valley on each side. When the valley comes, your prayer life has prepared you for it. Your relationship and trust in Jesus will see you through. He will be there with you (Hebrews 13:5). He will give you strength (Philippians 4:13), and will make a way where there seems to be no way. Wish you had Daniels prayer life? There is no better time than now. Get started now and see what ongoing, consistent prayer will do in your life. I tell you this: you will never be the same!
